Miss Devlin - Deceased

Miss Devlin was born in Lansing and she died October 16, 2001. She
graduated from Resurrection High School, received her Bachelor's
Degree from Sienna Heights College, Adrian, and received a Masters
from Michigan State University and Colorado State University.
Miss Devlin taught elementary and high school at Gabriels High School,
Resurrection High School, Michigan School for the Blind, and Elmhurst
School, all in Lansing. Miss Devlin also taught in North Carolina
and was employed with the state of Michigan. She was a lifelong
member of the Church of the Resurrection, Lansing, and a 50-year
member of the Alter Society.
Miss Devlin was preceded in death by her parents, William and Irene Devlin and Frank and Lillian Hufnagel,
brothers, Joseph, William, Jr., and Thomas, sister, Margaret, and
special friend Henry Konke. Surviving are her brothers and sister,
John, Rosemary (Noel Jr.) Miller, and Lawrence (Bethany); many
nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews; and special friend,
Maxine Hewett.
The Funeral Mass will be celebrated Friday, October
19, at 10 a.m. at Church of the Resurrection, 1531 E. Michigan
Avenue, Lansing, celebrated by the Rev. William J. Koenigsknecht and
the Rev. Francis Martin. The Rite of Committal will be held in Mt.
Hope Cemetery, Lansing. The family will receive friends at the
Gorsline-Runciman Co. Lansing Chapel, 900 E. Michigan Avenue, Lansing
on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. with the Rosary being celebrated at
7:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions
be made to the Church in memory of Miss Devlin.
