Born August 1, 1950 in Lansing; died February 4, 2000, at the age of
49. Mr. Krumrie was a graduate of Lansing schools and attended
LCC. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War, serving with the Black
Horse Armored Division, where he received the National Defense
Service Medal, the Vietnam Service Medal, the Vietnam Campaign Medal,
and the Purple Heart.
Mr. Krumrie retired from G.M. after 32 years
of service and was an avid boater and sportsman. He was a devoted
son, brother, and uncle. He is survived by his parents, Richard and
Clara Krumrie; sister and brother-in-law, Elaine and Dale Ruckel;
niece and spouse, Shelly and Alan Heaviland; nephew and family, Eric,
Melissa, and Sydney Ruckel; nephew Andy Ruckel; and special friend,
Terri Jacovoc.
A Memorial Mass will be celebrated Thursday, February
10 at 12 noon at St. Therese Catholic Church, 102 W. Randolph,
Lansing, with the Rev. Michael W. Kuchar, Pastor, officiating. The
Rite of Committal will be held in the spring in Lakeview Cemetery,
Mackinaw City. The family will receive friends at the
Gorsline-Runciman Co., Lansing Chapel, 900 E. Michigan Ave., Lansing
on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. and the Wake Service will be held
at 8 p.m. Those desiring to make contributions to St. Therese
Catholic Church or to the V.F.W. Douglas MacDonald Post #6132, 3104
W. St. Joseph Hwy., Lansing, 48917, in memory of Mr. Krumrie.
